Leonard Wasserman

Leonard’s passion for adventure fuels his writing Leonard’s adventurous spirit has been the cornerstone of his life and writing. After teaching industrial arts in New England, he accepted a teaching position in Barrow, Alaska—500 miles from the North Pole. There, he embraced winters of 100 degrees below zero and total darkness, finding inspiration in the extreme conditions. His journey continued in Galena, Alaska, a village along the Yukon River, and Unalaska in the Aleutian islands. Leonard’s days were filled with breathtaking experiences: witnessing the dazzling northern lights, encountering polar bears, and observing Inuit whale hunting. He even traversed the frozen Arctic ocean on a ski-doo, immersing himself in the raw beauty of the Alaskan wilderness. These extraordinary adventures deeply influence his storytelling, bringing an authentic and vivid perspective to his work.
